Research Interests
I am interested in understanding the neuronal signals that drive the consummatory response in rats. Using electrophysiology, optogenetics, and behavior, I will be investigating how the gustatory cortex and other forebrain regions coordinate to produce either ingestive or egestive behaviors in response to a taste stimulus.
